You can upgrade your IBM Lenovo ThinkPad T450 Laptop to up to a maximum memory capacity of 16 GB Memory. How many total memory slots to install memory? The Laptop has 2 Slots to install memory, already with 4 GB standard memory installed. T450s memory upgrade (12gb or 20gb) My Thinkpad t450s has 8gb of RAM (4gb system, 4gb added). Since the t450s has one ram slot, I am considering replacing the 4gb RAM with a 12gb (8gb SODIMM) or 20gb (16gb SODIMM) chip. On Amazon, the Crucial single DDR3L 1600 MT/s (PC3L-12800) 8gb ram is $39, and 16gb is $157.
